Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party, accusing it of neglecting critical water and sewerage infrastructure during its long tenure in power. Drawing a contrast with the current administration’s performance, Verma claimed that visible progress had been achieved in less than a year.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives, the minister said, “In 11 years, the AAP government failed to undertake any significant work on water and sewerage. In contrast, we have taken several steps in just 11 months. Work has been carried out at the Chandrawal and Wazirabad water treatment plants, benefiting multiple Assembly constituencies. Talks are underway with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to increase drinking water supply, while the capacity of the Dwarka water treatment plant is being expanded. The government is committed to ensuring clean drinking water for all Delhi residents...”
