In a shocking incident, a 62-year-old grocery shop owner was brutally beaten to death by a group of youngsters over a minor dispute in Baba Nagar, Kanchanbagh, on Wednesday night.

The horrific assault, which was captured on a CCTV camera, has since gone viral, sparking outrage. The victim, identified as Zakir Khan, ran a grocery store in ‘C Block’ of Baba Nagar. The dispute reportedly began when he objected to customers of a nearby pan shop placing chairs in front of his store and blocking access.

An argument ensued, leading to a violent attack by a group of youths who punched Zakir in the face and chest before pushing him to the ground. The elderly man, who had undergone open-heart surgery in 2016, succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
