Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing it of attempting to break and eliminate regional parties to consolidate its power. Addressing a press conference, Thackeray also questioned the integrity of the election process, citing concerns over voter fraud and EVM manipulation.

“Is Our Vote Safe?”: Aaditya Thackeray Questions Election Process

“I met Rahul Gandhi last night and will be meeting Arvind Kejriwal today. The future of our country is uncertain. We don’t even know where our vote is going amid voter fraud and EVM fraud. Are elections really free and fair in India today? We believe we are in a democracy, but it is no longer the case,” Thackeray asserted.

He warned that what happened to Shiv Sena (UBT), AAP, and Congress could happen next to Nitish Kumar, RJD, and Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the BJP’s “dream is to dismantle every regional party” just as it wants to weaken India’s democratic structure.

INDIA Bloc Prepares for the Future Amid Rising Challenges

Speaking on his INDIA Bloc meetings, Thackeray emphasized that discussions were underway to chart a future roadmap for the opposition alliance.

  • “INDIA Bloc has a joint leadership—there is no one supreme leader,” he said.
  • “This is not a fight of egos or personal gains but a battle for India’s future,” he added.

Rahul Gandhi Flags Voter Discrepancies in Maharashtra

The INDIA Bloc’s concerns have grown after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi highlighted suspicious voter surges in Maharashtra.

  • 39 lakh new voters were added within five months between the 2024 Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.
  • Gandhi questioned how the number of registered voters could exceed Maharashtra’s total adult population.

With INDIA Bloc struggling in states like Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, Thackeray’s remarks add to the growing political battle over electoral transparency and the fate of regional parties in India.
