The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) corporator Payal Sakariya of Ward No. 16 visited the Puna area in Surat, focusing on the persistent drainage problems faced by residents of Rajlakshmi Society and adjoining localities.
During the visit, the corporator interacted with citizens who raised concerns about frequent waterlogging, foul odor, and poor upkeep of drainage pipelines. Locals explained that the problem intensifies during the monsoon, leading to inconvenience and health hazards.
After assessing the ground reality, the corporator assured residents that he would take up the matter with the Surat Municipal Corporation and push for an effective, long-term solution. He stressed that solving such civic issues is one of AAP’s core priorities at the ward level.
