Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has firmly ruled out any possibility of an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that their ideologies are fundamentally different. Addressing the media, he dismissed speculation about a potential tie-up, making it clear that his party has no interest in aligning with the BJP.

“We are not talking about any alliance (with the BJP), neither is there any scope, nor the need. Our thoughts also do not align. If we talk about J&K, our thoughts are vastly different… We will hold discussions on everything (during the session),” Omar Abdullah asserted.

His remarks come amid growing political speculation over potential realignments in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape. The National Conference (NC) leader emphasized that his party remains committed to its core principles and will not compromise on J&K’s interests.
