Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal and parents Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi, cast their votes on Wednesday at the Lady Irwin Senior Secondary School in New Delhi. The moment was captured in a heartwarming video, which went viral on social media. The footage shows Kejriwal supporting his wheelchair-bound father while his son assists his mother, highlighting the strong family bond.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal urged the voters of Delhi to realize the significance of their vote in shaping the future of the city. Taking to X, Kejriwal emphasized, “Your vote is not just a button, it is the foundation of your children’s bright future. It is an opportunity to provide good schools, excellent hospitals, and a respectable life to every family.” He stressed the moral and political importance of the election, urging voters to choose “truth, development, and honesty” over “the politics of lies, hatred, and fear.”

Kejriwal also called for participation from not only the voters but also their families, friends, and neighbors. “Hooliganism will lose, Delhi will win,” he declared.
In a similar appeal, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi described the elections as a battle between good and evil, urging citizens to vote for progress and “goodness” over hooliganism.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva also made his pitch to voters, advocating for a “clean, well-governed, and prosperous” Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He called on citizens to vote for the BJP’s lotus symbol to strengthen the “double-engine government” for the future of the capital.
Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit, who is contesting against Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency, appealed to Delhiites to vote in large numbers to safeguard their rights.
With polling continuing throughout the day, the 2025 Delhi assembly elections have turned into a highly anticipated contest, with AAP, BJP, and Congress vying for leadership in the national capital.
