In a horrifying turn of events in Bengaluru, the dismembered body of 26-year-old Mahalaxmi has been discovered stuffed in a refrigerator, sending shockwaves through the community. Her husband, Hemant Das, has alleged that Mahalaxmi was involved in an extramarital affair with a man named Ashraf, raising suspicions about the motive behind this gruesome crime.

According to a report by India Today, Hemant claims that Mahalaxmi’s relationship with Ashraf—a salon worker from Uttarakhand—may have played a role in her murder. He revealed that he last saw his wife around a month ago when she visited his shop in Nelamangala to see their daughter. The couple, who had been married for six years, had separated nine months ago due to personal differences. Hemant added that Mahalaxmi had filed a police complaint against him amid their marital disputes.

Hemant alleges that Ashraf had been harassing Mahalaxmi and that she filed a blackmail complaint against him at the Seshadripuram police station just months prior to her death. He expressed concern that Ashraf’s actions could have led to her murder, stating, “I suspect Ashraf’s involvement in this horrific crime.”

The victim’s body was found at her residence near Pipeline Road, Vyalikaval, after neighbors reported a foul odor. Police believe the murder occurred at the beginning of the month, with the body dismembered using a sharp weapon. Mahalaxmi, who had recently moved into her home six months ago and worked at a local mall, lived alone at the time of her death.

Authorities are currently investigating the case, piecing together the events leading up to this brutal act. The community remains in shock as details of the case unfold, highlighting the tragic circumstances surrounding Mahalaxmi’s life and untimely death.
