BJP candidate from the New Delhi assembly constituency, Parvesh Verma, has accused Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, his ministers, and AAP MLAs of interfering in the election process. Speaking to reporters, Verma said, “In the last week, thousands of cars from Punjab have been roaming around the New Delhi assembly constituency. Punjab CM, ministers, MLAs, and their workers are moving around in private vehicles with ‘Government of Punjab’ stickers. They are distributing alcohol, CCTVs, and money here.”

Verma claimed that these actions were an attempt to influence voters, suggesting that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is resorting to such measures due to their fear of losing the elections.

In response to allegations made against him by AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, Verma announced he has filed a Rs. 100 crore defamation case against them. “They are making false statements about me. I will use the money from the defamation case for the welfare of the people in the New Delhi assembly constituency,” he stated.

Verma also confirmed that he has filed complaints with both the Election Commission and the Delhi Police regarding the alleged activities of Punjab leaders in the area. The allegations have further fueled tensions in the fiercely contested assembly elections in New Delhi.
