Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader DK Shivakumar has firmly denied rumors of him aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling them baseless and politically motivated.
Amid speculation circulating on social media and in certain media reports about his alleged proximity to the BJP, Shivakumar made it clear that his visit to the Maha Kumbh was purely religious and had no political significance.
“I have seen some media reports and social media discussions, and even my friends have been calling to ask if I am getting closer to the BJP. Let me clarify—I am a born Congressman. My visit to Maha Kumbh is based on my beliefs, and I respect all religions. These speculations don’t even come close to me,” Shivakumar stated.
The senior Congress leader also dismissed the BJP’s claims linking him to the party, asserting that he does not take their allegations seriously.
