Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia sparked a wave of surprise and admiration on Monday when he personally picked up a broom and began cleaning the dusty premises of a post office in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The unexpected act, caught on video and now widely shared online, took place during his three-day visit to the Shivpuri-Ashoknagar region.

While inspecting the Isagarh post office, located about 65 km from Guna, Scindia was reportedly taken aback by the lack of cleanliness and the disarray inside the building. According to an eyewitness quoted by PTI, Scindia questioned the staff about their maintenance practices. Unsatisfied with the answers he received, the Union Minister didn’t wait for action — he took one of the brooms himself and began cleaning the premises.

He also helped reorganize scattered items, demonstrating hands-on leadership and setting an example for government employees and citizens alike. Addressing the staff later, Scindia issued a directive to ensure cleanliness is maintained consistently.

His impromptu cleanliness drive was not the only highlight of the day. Scindia went on to Shivpuri district, where he inaugurated a new fire brigade vehicle at the Badarwas Nagar Parishad — even taking the wheel and driving the vehicle himself to the delight of onlookers.

Continuing his tour, the Union Minister also inaugurated a newly constructed bridge in Nainagir village and joined a community gathering, underscoring his commitment to infrastructure development and grassroots engagement in the region.
