In a grand ceremony at Kesarapalli IT Park, Gannavaram in Krishna District, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Kuppam MLA Chandrababu Naidu took the oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. The oath was administered by State Governor Abdul Nazeer.

The event also saw Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief and actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan being sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant political development in the state.

A total of 24 NDA MLAs are expected to be sworn in as ministers alongside Chandrababu Naidu. The newly released list of ministers includes three from the JSP, one from the BJP, and the rest from the TDP.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several high-profile guests, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Chirag Paswan, and Sanjay Bandi, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, former Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, actors Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi, and industrialist Gautam Adani.

In the recent Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, held alongside the Lok Sabha elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the TDP achieved a landslide victory, securing 164 out of 175 seats. The TDP won 135 out of the 144 seats it contested, the Pawan Kalyan-led JSP won all 21 of its contested seats, and the BJP won 8 out of 10 seats it contested. The incumbent YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) suffered a significant defeat, managing to secure only 11 seats, while the INDIA bloc parties did not win any seats in the state.

Following the announcement of the election results, Chandrababu Naidu declared that his government would establish Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh, reaffirming a key promise from his campaign.

In a related event, Mohan Charan Majhi is set to take the oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha later in the evening.
