CM Eknath Shinde Unveils Rs 10,000 Monthly Stipend For Graduates, 12th Pass To Get…New Scheme Details Inside

As Maharashtra gears up for the upcoming elections, the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' serves as a strategic move by the Shinde government to resonate with voters, demonstrating proactive measures to support the state's youth

In a significant move aimed at empowering Maharashtra’s youth, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’ on Ashadhi Ekadashi, offering a robust financial support system for young adults who have completed their education. The scheme promises monthly stipends to eligible candidates, varying with their educational qualifications.

Under the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’, students who have passed their 12th grade will receive Rs 6,000 per month, while those holding diplomas will be entitled to Rs 8,000 per month. Graduates will receive the highest stipend of Rs 10,000 per month. Chief Minister Shinde made this announcement during his visit to Pandharpur, strategically timed ahead of the impending Maharashtra Assembly elections later this year.

The initiative addresses the growing concerns over youth unemployment in the state, a topic frequently highlighted by the opposition. By rolling out financial assistance aimed directly at young job seekers, the government aims to provide not only monetary relief but also opportunities for apprenticeships in various industries. This initiative marks a pioneering step, as highlighted by CM Shinde, towards tackling the longstanding issue of unemployment effectively.

The inspiration behind the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’ draws parallels with successful schemes like Madhya Pradesh’s ‘Ladli Behen Yojana’, which focused on empowering young women. Maharashtra’s move underscores a commitment to gender-neutral policies, ensuring equitable opportunities for all youth across the state.

Chief Minister Shinde emphasized that this initiative is unprecedented in its scale and impact, designed to support youth in gaining valuable work experience through apprenticeships in factories. The scheme aims not only to alleviate immediate financial burdens but also to equip young adults with skills essential for their professional growth.

The announcement follows a recent legislative session where Uddhav Thackeray, addressing concerns of youth unemployment, advocated for inclusive schemes benefiting both genders equally. This reflects a broader societal shift towards gender equality and economic empowerment in policymaking.

As Maharashtra gears up for the upcoming elections, the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’ serves as a strategic move by the Shinde government to resonate with voters, demonstrating proactive measures to support the state’s youth. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader agenda of fostering economic resilience and inclusivity, paving the way for a more prosperous future for Maharashtra’s next generation.
