Prime  Minister Narendra Modi intensified his criticism of Congress and the Gandhi family during a rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Thursday. Addressing a packed crowd, PM Modi claimed that a “royal family” would endanger reservations if Congress were to come to power in Maharashtra, accusing them of harboring animosity toward marginalized communities.

“Congress and its allies in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) have chosen division over unity, targeting communities in a city built on harmony,” Modi asserted. He warned that Congress would “snatch away reservations” from Dalits, backward classes, and Scheduled Tribes (STs) in a desperate power grab. He also criticized the MVA’s stance on Article 370, accusing them of opposing national interests.

The Prime Minister highlighted his government’s initiatives for women, including the Majhi Ladki Behan scheme, which has contributed to women’s empowerment and increased female homeownership under the PM Awas Yojana.

PM Modi also criticized the MVA’s “appeasement politics,” claiming it disrespects Veer Savarkar and opposed the Ram Temple construction. He challenged the MVA to get Congress leaders to recognize the legacy of Bala Saheb Thackeray, suggesting that the Congress influence had diluted Shiv Sena’s values.

The rally marked a significant moment as Modi urged Maharashtra’s electorate to support the Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena alliance) for a stable government focused on unity, development, and Maharashtra’s cultural heritage.
