Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda has raised serious concerns over the conduct of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bhiwani district during the ongoing Haryana Assembly elections. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Hooda alleged that the SP has been actively working in favor of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and demanded his immediate removal from duty.

"We demanded from the Election Commission that Bhiwani SP should be removed. From yesterday, we have noticed that he is working in favor of a BJP candidate. So, he should be removed," Hooda asserted, expressing dissatisfaction with the officer's alleged bias during the electoral process.

The Haryana elections have been a high-stakes battle, with major political parties, including the ruling BJP and Congress, vying for control of the state's 90 Assembly seats. Hooda, a key figure in the Congress campaign, is confident that his party will emerge victorious, stating that the people of Haryana have already made up their minds to vote for change.

"The people of Haryana have made up their minds, and the BJP government is going. Congress is coming," Hooda said emphatically. "People are rejecting the BJP and the independents that have been sponsored by the BJP," he added, referring to candidates perceived to be indirectly backed by the ruling party.

Hooda's demand for the removal of the SP in Bhiwani comes amid widespread claims from opposition parties that the BJP is using its influence over local authorities to sway the election results in its favor. The Congress has been vocal in calling for a fair and transparent electoral process, urging the Election Commission to ensure neutrality in the administration of the polls.

As of now, the Election Commission has not yet responded to Hooda's demands or taken any public action regarding the Bhiwani SP. The Haryana elections are being closely watched, with results scheduled to be declared on October 8.

With the state's electorate reportedly showing signs of dissatisfaction over various issues, including farmer protests and inflation, Congress leaders like Deepender Hooda are optimistic about their chances of unseating the incumbent BJP government. The outcome of the elections will ultimately reveal whether the opposition's efforts to mobilize voters and challenge the ruling party's grip on power have been successful.
