In the wake of the recent train derailment in Jharkhand, Congress MP Manickam Tagore has strongly criticized Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Tagore stated, “(Railway Minister Ashwini) Vaishnaw will not be remembered as the Minister of Railways but as the Minister of Railway Accidents. In his term, there have been a lot of railway accidents, but he gives assurance after assurance, yet nothing happens. Ashwini Vaishnaw must take responsibility.”
This harsh criticism follows several railway accidents under Vaishnaw’s tenure, raising concerns about the safety measures and effectiveness of the current administration. The recent derailment has brought the issue of railway safety back into the spotlight, prompting calls for increased accountability and improved safety protocols within the Indian Railways.
As investigations continue into the causes of the Jharkhand derailment, the public and political figures alike are demanding immediate and effective action to prevent further tragedies on India’s railway network.
