The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule for the much-anticipated Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 today at 2 PM. The elections, covering all 70 constituencies in the national capital, will be conducted in a single phase.

High-Stakes Battle Between AAP and BJP

The upcoming polls are expected to witness a fierce contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Congress, which has been struggling in Delhi politics for over a decade, is looking to make a comeback by increasing its vote share after failing to win any seats in the last two elections.

Election Likely in February

The Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 are likely to be held in February. The announcement of the schedule comes shortly after the Delhi Election Commission published the updated voter list on Monday. According to the data, the list now includes over 1.53 crore voters, with approximately 83 lakh male voters and 70 lakh female voters.

The Election Commission has emphasized that only those whose names appear on the voter list will be eligible to cast their votes, urging citizens to verify their registration.
