After several days of thick smog and poor visibility, Delhi residents woke up to relatively clearer skies on Friday as the city’s air quality showed slight improvement.
According to the latest data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital stood at 268 at 8 am, placing it in the ‘poor’ category. In contrast, on Thursday morning at the same time, Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 352, falling under the ‘very poor’ category.
The drop in AQI indicates a modest but welcome relief for Delhiites, who have been grappling with rising pollution levels over the past week. The improved air quality also led to better visibility and clearer skies across several parts of the city.
