Delhi’s Throne For ‘Ram Bhakt’ Only, Asserts Yogi Adityanath In Gorakhpur

The Uttar Pradesh CM also showcased the development work undertaken by the BJP government. “Ram Bhakts are increasing the respect of the country,” he said, listing the construction of highways, AIIMS, IIT, IIM, and airports as major accomplishments. He emphasized social welfare measures such as free treatment for the poor up to ₹5 lakh, benefits for farmers through the Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the provision of Ujjwala gas connections in every household.

Addressing a vibrant poll rally in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath passionately declared the people’s resolve to support those who brought Lord Ram to prominence. “Only a Ram devotee will sit on the throne of Delhi,” he proclaimed, reinforcing the BJP’s religious and cultural stance.

Highlighting the historical importance of Gorakhpur, Adityanath reminisced, “Gorakhpur holds a special significance for us because the lock of the Ram Mandir was opened from this place in 1986 when Veer Bahadur Singh was the Chief Minister. Today, when Ram Lalla is seated at that place, record votes should be received from here.” His remarks underscored the symbolic connection between Gorakhpur and the Ram Mandir movement.

The Chief Minister sought to explain the unwavering public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. “I ask the public why they love Modi ji and support the BJP so much. They say ‘jo Ram ko laaye hain hum unko laayenge (we will bring those who have brought Ram),” he asserted, capturing the sentiment of loyalty among BJP supporters.

Adityanath did not hold back in his criticism of the opposition, particularly targeting the Congress and Samajwadi Party. He accused them of having an “anti-Ram” character, citing historical actions against Ram devotees. “The grand-old party removed Veer Bahadur Singh as CM because he was a devotee of Ram and had contributed to opening the lock of the temple,” he claimed. He further accused Congress of sending a wrong message to the world by opposing the Ram temple construction, and derided the Samajwadi Party’s stance on the temple’s development.

Reiterating the significance of the Ram temple, Adityanath stated, “Ram temple is a symbol of India’s eternal faith. Therefore, this election has come between Ram devotees and Ram traitors.” He framed the electoral battle as a fight to uphold the country’s spiritual heritage and values.
