Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday raised strong concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump hosting a special dinner for Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir at the White House. He demanded clarity from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top Indian leadership on the issue.
Speaking to reporters, Raut said, “President Trump hosted dinner for General Munir of Pakistan. He received a special invitation – we want to know the opinions of PM Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.”
Calling General Munir the “culprit of the Sindoor of women being wiped off in Pahalgam,” a reference to the casualties and trauma caused during the Pahalgam terror attacks linked to Operation Sindoor, Raut said, “The role of our government is yet to be clear. This is shocking for our country.”
Raut further alleged that Trump is “interfering and trying to change the regime in many countries” and questioned if similar intentions were directed at India. “Does he want to do the same in India? I have this doubt,” Raut added.
