The political feud between MLA Eknath Khadse and Minister Girish Mahajan continues to escalate, captivating attention across Maharashtra. The two leaders, who have been at loggerheads for years, have exchanged sharp words over various issues, with the latest round of disputes taking center stage in recent days.

In a scathing attack, Khadse addressed the public and media, stating, “I agree that Girishbhau does not drink alcohol, does not eat tobacco, and does not smoke bidis. But they have a habit. Everyone knows that habit of his.” This vague reference has sparked speculation and discussions about Mahajan’s alleged shortcomings, leading to heightened curiosity among their supporters and the public alike.

Khadse did not hold back when criticizing Mahajan’s political capabilities, labeling him as merely a “chatterbox” who has relied heavily on the influence of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. “They have no achievements of their own, so there is no point in giving any price to Girish Mahajan,” Khadse asserted. The MLA accused Mahajan of conspiring against him to tarnish his reputation, claiming, “Who is the mastermind of all that? Maharashtra knows this.”

Responding to Mahajan’s claims regarding a plot of land in Bhosari, Khadse expressed indignation, stating, “They say Khadse took a plot in Bhosari, but even today, you can get a copy of Bhosari and only the name of the original owner will appear on it. I was the revenue minister; I had that much common sense. The information provided by Girish Mahajan regarding the plot is very wrong.”

Khadse also took aim at Mahajan’s responsibilities as a local representative, particularly concerning the water supply in Bodwad. “Now you say there is no water in Bodwad. That is the responsibility of your MLA. What is your MLA doing?” he questioned. This pointed remark comes as Khadse highlighted the failure of MLA Chandrakant Patil to address the water crisis in the region. He further challenged Mahajan, suggesting, “Take the reaction of that sarpanch and ask him whose sarpanch he is,” implying that Mahajan’s leadership is under scrutiny.

As the war of words intensifies, both leaders continue to rally their supporters and stake their claims in Jalgaon’s political landscape. This ongoing feud not only reflects their personal rivalries but also underscores the larger political dynamics within Maharashtra. Observers will be keenly watching how this conflict unfolds and what implications it may have for both leaders’ political futures.
