The recent Microsoft global outage has caused widespread disruptions, impacting everything from malfunctioning devices to flight services across the globe. This is one of the most significant tech failures in recent memory, following a similar outage experienced by Meta and its platform.
In the wake of this major incident, reactions have started to pour in, and one prominent figure often taking center stage during such times is Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Known for his ability to leverage these situations, Musk used this outage to mock his rival, Microsoft.

On his social media platform, X—acquired for a staggering USD 44 billion—Musk responded by reposting an old tweet in which he humorously criticized Microsoft, referring to it as ‘Microhard.’ Before that, he had also reacted to another post about the outage by sharing a laughing emoji, poking fun at Microsoft and its cloud service Azure, which had gone down amidst the chaos. Throughout this period, Musk’s own platform, X, continued to operate without any issues.
