Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was felicitated on Thursday by Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), during her ongoing two-day visit to the state.
The felicitation ceremony took place in Gandhinagar, where Rahatkar praised the Gujarat government’s efforts toward women’s safety, empowerment, and welfare. She commended Chief Minister Patel for leading various schemes aimed at improving the status of women across urban and rural areas of the state.
As part of her visit, the NCW Chairperson is scheduled to attend a public hearing program for women in Ahmedabad, where she will interact directly with women facing legal or social challenges. She is also expected to hold review meetings with state officials, attend empowerment sessions, and participate in other events across Gandhinagar and Palanpur.
