“Gujarat Wants Change”: Arvind Kejriwal Claims Massive AAP Wave, Predicts Big Win

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday made a bold claim about his party’s growing strength in Gujarat, saying that the state is witnessing a massive surge in support and is now “demanding change.” Speaking to the media in Rajkot during his three-day Gujarat tour, Kejriwal expressed confidence that AAP is on track to form the next government in the state.

Highlighting the party’s expansion, Arvind Kejriwal said that lakhs of people across Gujarat are joining AAP, indicating a strong grassroots movement. He also pointed out that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is accompanying him on the tour, further strengthening the party’s campaign push in the state.

Kejriwal said that upcoming elections for district councils and municipal corporations will be a crucial test, and expressed confidence that AAP will perform strongly in these local body polls. He went a step further, predicting that the party will form the government in Gujarat in the upcoming assembly elections, signaling a direct challenge to established political forces in the state.

In a major organisational move, AAP has already released its first list of more than 460 candidates for the upcoming local body elections. The announcement reflects the party’s aggressive strategy to expand its footprint at the grassroots level across Gujarat.

AAP’s Gujarat unit chief Isudan Gadhvi said that the party has deliberately chosen “ordinary people” as candidates for all levels of local governance. This approach, he said, is aimed at bringing fresh faces into politics and offering an alternative to traditional political setups.

Adding momentum to the campaign, a grand rally led by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann has been scheduled for March 25 in Amreli. The rally is expected to draw a large crowd and further energise party workers ahead of the elections.

With aggressive campaigning, a large candidate base, and bold claims of forming the government, AAP is positioning itself as a serious contender in Gujarat politics. The coming weeks will be crucial as the political battle intensifies in the state.
