In a shocking incident from Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, an 11-year-old boy, Kritarth, studying in Class 2 at DL Public School, was allegedly murdered in a horrific human sacrifice ritual aimed at ensuring the prosperity of the educational institution. The chilling act, which has sent shockwaves through the community, unfolded last week and has led to the arrest of five individuals, including the school’s owner.

According to police reports, the school’s proprietor, Jasodhan Singh, who reportedly has a belief in ‘tantrik’ rituals, directed his son and the school’s director, Dinesh Baghel, to perform the sacrificial act. The aim was to enhance the prosperity of both the school and their family. On September 23, Singh and Baghel, along with three other staff members, allegedly abducted Kritarth from the school’s hostel and took him to a secluded area for the ritual.

Ashok Kumar Singh, the additional superintendent of police (ASP) in Hathras, stated, “The father-son duo, along with three others, took the child under the pretense of taking him to the hospital, claiming he was unwell.” Tragically, as they proceeded with the act, Kritarth woke up and began to cry. In a desperate attempt to silence him, the accused strangulated the boy, leading to his death.

Upon realizing the gravity of the situation, family members of Kritarth intercepted the car in which he was being transported, only to discover their son’s lifeless body. They promptly alerted the authorities, which led to the swift arrest of the accused. The five individuals arrested include Jasodhan Singh, Dinesh Baghel, principal Laxman Singh, and teachers Ramprakash Solanki and Veerpal Singh. An FIR has been lodged against them under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

This tragic incident follows a similarly disturbing case in Muzaffarnagar, where a mother-daughter duo was apprehended in May for the gruesome killings of two children aged four and seven, carried out as part of another human sacrifice ritual.

The local community is grappling with disbelief and horror at these events, highlighting a troubling trend involving black magic and ritualistic killings in the region. As investigations continue, authorities are urged to address the underlying beliefs that perpetuate such heinous acts.
