Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren, recently released on bail after a five-month stint in jail, has asserted that his party was targeted in a conspiracy. Despite facing adversity, Soren affirmed the JMM’s commitment to uphold its pledges and continue its political endeavors.
Addressing the media after his release, Soren emphasized the prolonged judicial process, stating, “I spent five months behind bars, highlighting how our legal system often extends cases for years. This sends a strong message about the conspiracy orchestrated against us. We remain resolute in fulfilling our mission and promises.”
The news of Soren’s bail brought joy to his family, who celebrated with sweets at their Ranchi residence. His mother, Rupi Soren, expressed happiness, while his wife, Kalpana Soren, thanked the judiciary for the emotional relief.
Upon his release, Hemant Soren received a warm welcome from his family and party supporters, engaging warmly with them outside the prison premises.
Reflecting on the situation, JMM leader Mahua Maji underscored the challenges faced by the party during Soren’s incarceration, mentioning various public rallies and efforts to maintain peace amidst concerns over state governance.
Overall, Hemant Soren’s return to public life has sparked a wave of optimism and happiness among supporters in Jharkhand, marking a significant moment for the regional political landscape.
