He also announced direct financial aid transfers into the bank accounts of thousands of women beneficiaries, reinforcing his government’s commitment to financial independence for women.

However, what caught everyone’s attention was PM Modi’s bold and emotional statement:
“I am the richest person in the world. When I say this, I know the troll army will come after me, but I will still repeat it. I have the blessings of crores of mothers, sisters, and daughters in my life’s account, and these blessings keep increasing. That is why I say—I am the richest person in the world.”
His remark quickly went viral, with supporters hailing it as a heartfelt tribute to women and critics calling it a strategic move ahead of the upcoming elections.
What Are Gujarat SAFAL and MAITRI Schemes?
The Gujarat SAFAL (Sashakt Aur Financially Atmanirbhar Ladki) scheme aims to provide financial assistance and entrepreneurship opportunities to women, while the Gujarat MAITRI (Mahila Atmanirbharta and Training for Rural Independence) initiative focuses on skill development, employment, and self-reliance for rural women.
With these initiatives, coupled with direct benefit transfers, PM Modi reinforced the BJP government’s focus on women-led development, a narrative that has been a key part of his leadership.
