In a fiery statement from Madhya Pradesh, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP and RSS, accusing them of fearing pressure and surrendering to foreign influence.
Addressing a public gathering, Gandhi said, “I had promised the country that the caste census would be passed in Parliament. Now, I understand the RSS-BJP very well. If a little pressure is put on them, they run away out of fear.”
He went further, drawing an international parallel to underline his criticism: “Just like when Trump signalled Modi ji, he abided by Trump’s orders. This is their character.”
Rahul Gandhi alleged that this tendency to retreat under pressure is not new. “Since the Independence movement, they have had this habit of writing letters of surrender,” he added, suggesting a historical pattern of compromise in the BJP-RSS ideology.
