Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad has once again stirred controversy with inflammatory statements, this time threatening to “bury Congress dogs.” In a video that surfaced on Tuesday, Gaikwad can be heard warning that he would bury any “Congress dog” attempting to enter an event attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

“If any Congress dog tries to enter my program, I will bury them then and there,” Gaikwad is heard saying in the video. This statement follows his earlier remarks, where he offered a reward of ₹11 lakh to anyone who would chop off Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s tongue. Gaikwad made this controversial offer in reaction to Gandhi’s comments on reservations in India.

Gaikwad showed no remorse for his statements, stating, “I have made the statement. If I have not apologized, why should the CM do so?… Of 140 crore people in the country, 50 percent of the population gets reservations. And I am firm on the statement I made about the person who spoke about removing reservation.”

His incendiary comments have not gone unnoticed, as the police registered a case against him on Monday night. Despite the legal action, Gaikwad continues to defend his statements, highlighting his staunch stance on the issue of reservations in India.

This is not the first time the Shiv Sena MLA has found himself at the center of a controversy. Last month, a video showing a policeman washing his car went viral on social media, leading to widespread criticism. Gaikwad later claimed that the policeman had cleaned the car on his own after vomiting inside.

The recent remarks have added fuel to the already charged political atmosphere in Maharashtra. While Gaikwad remains defiant, his comments have sparked outrage and calls for accountability.
