'In The Largest Democracy, Everything Is Kept Hidden': Sanjay Raut Backs INDIA Bloc’s Demand For Special Parliament Session On Pahalgam Terror Attack

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has strongly supported the INDIA bloc’s demand for a special session of Parliament to discuss the recent Pahalgam terror attack, asserting that the government must come clean before the people. Raut clarified that the opposition’s intent is not to debate the government's actions post-attack, but to ensure that the issue receives national attention through democratic discussion.

“We only want to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, not the action taken by the government. If 16 Opposition parties demand a special session on this, then a discussion should be held,” Raut said.

He further revealed that formal letters will soon be sent to both the President and Prime Minister requesting the special session. “In a democracy, the government should take the public into confidence and tell them what it is doing. But in the largest democracy, everything is kept hidden from the public,” Raut added, emphasizing the lack of transparency in handling such sensitive national issues.
