Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday delivered a fiery address at a public rally in Dahod, asserting India’s firm response to terrorism and reaffirming the emotional strength behind the recently conducted Operation Sindoor.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come in the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of several brave security personnel and civilians. Highlighting India's prompt retaliation, Modi invoked the deep emotional and cultural significance behind the operation’s name.

“After what the terrorists did in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam, could India sit silently? Could Modi sit silently?” the Prime Minister asked the crowd, drawing loud cheers from supporters. “When someone removes the Sindoor from our sisters' and mothers' foreheads, then their removal is also confirmed. Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, it is an expression of the values and emotions of Indians.”

The emotional weight of the operation, symbolically named after the red vermilion worn by married Hindu women, was echoed in Modi’s emphatic declaration: “Jab koi hamari behno ke sindoor ko mitayega, toh uska bhi mitna tay ho jata hai.”

Positioning the country’s stance against terrorism as uncompromising, Modi warned hostile elements about the consequences of targeting India. “Atank phailane walon ne sapno mein bhi socha nahi hoga Modi se muqabala kitna mushkil hota hai,” he said, asserting that India’s adversaries will now think twice before challenging its sovereignty.

Operation Sindoor, launched shortly after the Pahalgam incident, is being hailed as a swift and precise military operation that underscores the Centre’s commitment to zero-tolerance against terror.
