BJP National President JP Nadda has hit out at the opposition for questioning the parliamentary process, asserting that rules and laws govern budget discussions and that every leader will get a fair opportunity to speak. His comments come amid growing tensions between the ruling party and opposition members over the Union Budget 2025-26 discussions in Parliament.
“There are rules and laws under which discussions take place. In the next ten days, every subject of the budget is supposed to be discussed. We are prepared for the discussion. Everyone will get a chance to speak, and they will get an opportunity as per their time allotment. They (opposition) don’t even read the rules of the assembly. Therefore, I strongly condemn their remarks as irresponsible and uncalled for,” Nadda stated.

His remarks follow protests by opposition parties demanding extended debates on budget allocations, economic policies, and alleged discrepancies in fund distribution. Congress, AAP, and other opposition leaders have accused the government of curtailing discussions and avoiding accountability on key financial issues.
