As the Delhi Assembly elections draw near, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is expanding its reach to a new segment of voters, focusing on health and fitness professionals. On Thursday, several wrestlers and bodybuilders joined the party in a move aimed at strengthening its ties with the health and fitness community.

AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal welcomed fitness influencers Tilakraj, Rohit Dalal, and Akshay Dilawari at the party office, where they were handed party scarves and caps. Kejriwal highlighted that around 70 to 80 bodybuilders and wrestlers had joined the party, further solidifying AAP?s commitment to addressing health and fitness issues in the city.

Kejriwal emphasized that their participation will not only bolster the party but also help align it more closely with the concerns of sportspersons and fitness enthusiasts. "We are committed to resolving the issues faced by sportspersons, and in the coming days, many gymnasium owners and other sportspersons will join the party," he stated.

Speaker of the outgoing Delhi Assembly, Ram Niwas Goel, noted that the new members, particularly those influential in the city's gym community, are eager to contribute to AAP's mission and objectives.

This move by AAP signals its strategy to attract a broader base of voters by addressing the needs and concerns of the growing fitness community in the national capital.
