New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju firmly rejected the Opposition’s claims regarding alleged omissions in a parliamentary report, stating that “there is no deletion or removal from the report.” Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Rijiju dismissed the accusations as “false and misleading.”

“I have checked the concerns raised by the Opposition. There is no deletion or removal from the report. Everything is on the floor of the House. On what basis can such an issue be raised?” Rijiju said. He accused the Opposition of creating an “unnecessary issue” and asserted that the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) proceedings were conducted as per the rules.

The minister further clarified that all Opposition members of the JPC actively participated in the proceedings over the past six months. “All the dissent notes are attached in the Appendix of the report… They cannot mislead the House,” he added.
