In a recent interview with PTI, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a scathing attack on former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, questioning his political acumen and experience. Yadav didn’t hold back, stating, “He neither had the experience of a minister nor party president (before he held the post) and not even of politics. The way he talks…even the opposition should have some level, especially before a personality (referring to Modi). He (Gandhi) is not even a lamp before the sun.”
Yadav’s remarks came during a candid conversation on Tuesday, where he dismissed Gandhi’s aspirations of becoming prime minister, pointing out his reluctance to contest from the Congress stronghold of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. “Wayanad MP Gandhi was dreaming of becoming prime minister but lacked the courage to contest from their stronghold of Amethi,” Yadav asserted.
The Chief Minister didn’t stop at Gandhi. He also took aim at RJD chief Lalu Prasad, ridiculing their claims that the Modi government would be ousted after the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. Yadav said, “There is no bigger joke than this,” emphasizing his confidence in the current administration’s continued governance.
Yadav’s comments highlight the intensifying political rhetoric as the country gears up for the Lok Sabha elections. His statements reflect a broader narrative within the BJP, positioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a towering figure in Indian politics, unmatched by his rivals.
