Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for their overwhelming support. Speaking to the media, Shinde said, “I thank the voters of Maharashtra. This is a landslide victory. I had said before that Mahayuti will get a thumping victory. The votes are a slap on the face of Sanjay Raut.”
Mhaske added, “Eknath Shinde is the leader Maharashtra trusts, and this victory proves that he is the right person to lead the state.”
What’s Next for Mahayuti?
Sources have indicated that the BJP is likely to hold the Maharashtra Legislative Party meeting on November 25, with the oath-taking ceremony planned for November 26. A larger meeting of the Yuti alliance is also expected to finalize the leadership structure.
While Eknath Shinde’s name is strongly backed for the Chief Minister’s position, the final decision will be announced after internal discussions among alliance members.
A New Political Chapter
With this decisive mandate, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has reshaped Maharashtra’s political landscape. The focus now shifts to delivering on the promises made to the people, with leaders pledging to prioritize the welfare of farmers, women, and all sections of society.
As celebrations continue, Maharashtra awaits the formal announcement of its leadership team, marking the beginning of a new era under the Mahayuti government.
