The Maharashtra Legislature’s budget session will commence on March 3 and continue until March 26, 2025. The state budget will be presented in both houses on March 10. A crucial Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting was held at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai, to finalize the session’s schedule and proceedings.

The meeting was attended by key leaders, including Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil. Prominent legislators such as Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, and Jitendra Awhad were also present.

It was decided that the legislature will function on March 8, despite it being a public holiday, while March 13 will be a non-working day in observance of Holi.

Meanwhile, the session is expected to witness intense political debates, with the opposition gearing up to raise the issue of MLA Kokate’s disqualification. This, along with discussions on budget allocations and policy decisions, is set to add to the already charged political atmosphere in the state.
