Maharashtra’s Fisheries and Port Development Minister, Nitish Rane, has introduced the ‘Malhar Certification’ to create a network of Hindu-owned mutton shops, ensuring adulteration-free meat exclusively sold by members of the Hindu community.

Announcing the initiative on March 11, Rane emphasized its importance for Hindu economic empowerment, urging people to purchase meat only from establishments carrying the Malhar certification.

“Today, we have taken a very important step for the Hindu community in Maharashtra. Malhar Certification has been launched to ensure access to our rightful mutton shops, where both the ownership and the meat quality are guaranteed,” Rane stated on X.

He further appealed to the Hindu community to boycott non-certified meat sellers, asserting that Malhar-certified shops would exclusively employ Hindus and maintain strict quality standards.

“These efforts will financially empower Hindu youth, ensuring that no adulteration is found in the mutton anywhere,” he added.
