Maharashtra Winter Session: Mahayuti Government To Present 20 Bills After Cabinet Expansion

With the completion of its cabinet expansion, the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is set to table 20 bills during the winter session of the Maharashtra Assembly. The session is scheduled to take place in Nagpur from December 16 to December 21.

Focus on Legislative Agenda

At a press conference held in Nagpur?s Ramgiri, CM Fadnavis highlighted the government?s renewed focus on ?dynamic governance.? He announced that six new bills would be introduced, while 14 ordinances would be tabled for conversion into laws. Discussions on ?supplementary demands? to allocate additional expenditure for the remaining financial year are also on the agenda.

Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar reiterated the government?s commitment to balanced development under ?Mission Prosperous Maharashtra.?

Cabinet Expansion Highlights

Earlier on Sunday, 39 ministers from the Mahayuti coalition, including 18 first-time MLAs, were sworn in, expanding the cabinet to 42 members. Of these, 19 ministers are from the BJP, 11 from Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and 9 from the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction).
