In a shocking incident that highlights the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, a 52-year-old businessman was shot dead in Shahdara while returning from his morning walk. The victim, identified as Sunil Jain from Krishna Nagar, was attacked by two assailants on a motorcycle who opened fire on him before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred in the Farsh Bazar police station area. Shahdara’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed the details, stating, “A person, Sunil Jain, was found with gunshot injuries. The Crime Team has been called to the spot, and further investigation is in progress.” Jain, who was a businessman dealing in utensils, succumbed to his injuries soon after the attack.

The gruesome incident has sparked political outrage, with former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal lambasting the BJP and the Union Home Ministry for the city’s security lapse.
“Amit Shah ji has ruined Delhi. He has turned Delhi into a jungle raj. People are living a life of terror everywhere,” Kejriwal remarked. He further accused the BJP of being incapable of managing law and order in the capital, saying, “The people of Delhi will have to unite and raise their voice.”
