A massive fire broke out at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Friday morning, causing panic among devotees and authorities. The blaze erupted at Shankaracharya Marg in Sector 18 of the Maha Kumbh Mela Kshetra.

Authorities immediately launched firefighting efforts, with fire tenders rushing to the scene. As of now, no injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Dramatic visuals from the site show thick clouds of smoke engulfing the area, raising concerns over safety at the religious gathering. This incident comes just days after a tragic stampede on January 29, which claimed 30 lives and left 60 others injured during the Amrit Snan at Triveni Sangam.

This is the third fire-related incident near Maha Kumbh this month. On January 19, a massive blaze erupted in Sector 19, Tulsi Marg, following the explosion of two gas cylinders. Another fire broke out on January 25 near the Maha Kumbh site, engulfing two parked vehicles.
