Bunty Bhangdiya is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has represented the Chimur Assembly Constituency since 2014. His political journey began with his role as the founder and head of Yuvashakti Sanghatna, a political organization that had significant influence in the Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad in 2014. In August 2014, he joined the BJP, following in the footsteps of his father, Mitesh Bhangdiya, a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council from the Chandrapur-Gadchiroli-Wardha local body constituency (2012-2018).

Controversy
In 2023 Bhangdiya was been booked for molestation and assault. The case was registered following a complaint by the brother of the Congress district general secretary and his wife. The incident allegedly involved Bhangdiya and his party workers forcibly entering the complainant’s house, assaulting the husband, and molesting the wife.
BJP MLA Bunty Bhangdiya faces fraud charges for allegedly submitting false affidavits to acquire properties meant for the homeless under a housing scheme. The court ordered the police to take action after the case was filed. Specifically, Bhangdiya is accused of misusing the scheme between 2007 and 2009 to secure properties using fraudulent means. The charges were brought forth by advocate Tarun Chaturbhai Parmar.
Promises and Future Commitments
At the administrative building in Chimur, certificates were awarded to beneficiaries of the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, Shravanbal Yojana and schemes for widows, disabled and critically ill individuals. The government is implementing various welfare schemes for the upliftment of the underprivileged. The Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana Committee is actively working to support the poor, needy, destitute, widows, disabled, and critically ill in the taluka. A total of 525 beneficiaries received certificates.
In Chimur Taluka’s Sonegaon (Van) village, the construction of a community hall worth ₹40 lakhs was inaugurated under the Thakkar Bappa Scheme.
In Khadsangi, Chimur Taluka, the construction of a fully-equipped self-employment training center worth ₹50 lakhs was inaugurated in the Shri Sant Jagnade Maharaj area under the District Mineral Development Fund.
