Early Life and Education

Kishor Gajanan Jorgewar was born on December 17, 1968, in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling in Chandrapur and has been actively involved in social and political activities from a young age.

Political Career

Kishor Jorgewar is an Independent MLA representing the Chandrapur constituency in Maharashtra. His political journey gained significant momentum when he won the assembly seat in the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. Despite being an independent candidate, Jorgewar has managed to wield considerable influence in state politics.

Position and Support

Although Jorgewar is an Independent MLA, he has extended support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on multiple occasions. Notably, in October 2019, he met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and offered his unconditional support to the BJP, highlighting his strategic alignment with the party’s agenda to ensure stability and development in his constituency​. A groundbreaking ceremony for a study center worth ₹3.5 crore was held in Ramnagar. This initiative aims to provide a new platform for diligent and aspiring students. Many such study centers are being established in Chandrapur city to support the educational progress of numerous underprivileged and ambitious children. It is believed that these modern study centers will have a positive impact on their academic growth. There are also plans to establish more study centers in the future to continue nurturing students.

There is a demand to establish toxicology screening systems in government medical colleges in Chandrapur and other parts of the state. Currently, such systems are operational in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Various demands for the development of Chandrapur district were presented in the assembly today. The district, rich in resources like electricity, water, railways, and road connectivity, was proposed to host a steel plant. Additionally, a “Pink Rickshaw” scheme for aspiring women in Chandrapur was requested. The assembly also called for action on the delayed Tiger Safari project.

Work

In Vrindavan Nagar, due to the blockage of the sewage system in Survey No. 51, water was accumulating on the road, causing large potholes. The locals raised this issue, highlighting the difficulties in commuting and requested that the potholes be filled. In response, the potholes on this road have been promptly filled. Efforts are always made to address common people’s issues and find immediate solutions.
