Santosh Laxmanrao Bangar was born on June 14, 1980, in Wanjarwadi, Hingoli District, Maharashtra. He completed his education up to the 7th grade at Manik Memorial Aary School in Hingoli in 1994-95. Bangar’s early life was rooted in his hometown, where he was actively involved in business and agriculture.

Political Career

Santosh Bangar began his political journey with the Shiv Sena party. In 2017, he was appointed as the Shiv Sena Hingoli district president. His significant political breakthrough came in 2019 when he was elected as the Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Kalamnuri constituency.

Throughout his career, Bangar has been known for his dynamic approach and vocal participation in various political issues. In 2022, during the political turmoil within Shiv Sena, he initially declared allegiance to then-Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray but later shifted his support to Eknath Shinde’s faction, highlighting his adaptability and strategic thinking in politics.
