Sunil Bhusara hails from the Vikramgad constituency in Maharashtra, known for its tribal population. Key Political Initiatives

MLA Sunil Bhusara raised concerns in the Assembly about the exclusion of over 1.4 lakh girls pursuing traditional arts, commerce, and science courses from the government’s scheme for 100% reimbursement of educational fees. Although the scheme, issued on July 8, 2024, covers girls in professional courses like medicine and engineering, Bhusara urged the government to extend this benefit to those in traditional education, as originally intended by the Higher and Technical Education Minister.

MLA Sunil Bhusara is fighting for the rights of Maharashtra’s unemployed youth, demanding that the MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) provide employment opportunities. Despite political pressure and unmet promises, Bhusara led a hunger strike on the steps of the legislature to advocate for the youth. He remains committed to the cause, urging the government to issue the necessary notification and fulfill its promises.

During the Monsoon Session 2024, an MLA raised important questions in the Assembly regarding the welfare of employees in Mumbai’s Gram Panchayats, Municipal Councils, and Zilla Parishads. The questions focused on whether the government plans to:

  1. Approve government salaries for these employees.
  2. Implement government pensions.
  3. Approve the payment of salary arrears.
  4. Deposit EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) contributions.
