The Delhi Police impounded a motorcycle after two boys, one allegedly claiming to be the son of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, were caught misbehaving during a routine patrol. The incident occurred when police officers spotted the boys riding a Bullet motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, creating loud noise with a modified silencer and riding in a dangerous zigzag manner.
When intercepted, one of the boys claimed to be Amanatullah Khan’s son and accused the police of targeting him due to his father’s political position. When asked to produce a driving license and identification, the boys refused, asserting that they were not obligated to comply. The situation escalated when one of the boys called Amanatullah Khan and handed the phone to the Station House Officer (SHO). Despite the interaction, the boys left without providing their names or addresses.
An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) later brought the motorcycle to the police station, where it was impounded. A case was registered, and a challan was issued under multiple violations, according to Delhi Police.

This incident has added to the political drama surrounding the 2025 Delhi Assembly election campaigns. Amanatullah Khan, an AAP candidate, is contesting for re-election from the Okhla constituency, which he has represented since 2015. He faces stiff competition from BJP’s Manish Chaudhry, Congress’ Ariba Khan, and AIMIM leader Shifa Ur Rehman.
The Okhla constituency has traditionally been an AAP stronghold, with Khan defeating BJP’s Braham Singh in both the 2015 and 2020 elections. However, this year’s race appears to be a triangular contest, heightening the stakes.
