A fresh political controversy has erupted online after Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the alleged pushing of senior MP NK Premachandran by a security aide, while netizens pointed out her silence over Jaya Bachchan’s viral selfie incident.

On Tuesday, a video of actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan went viral, showing her pushing away a man attempting a selfie. Actress Kangana Ranaut reacted sharply on Instagram, calling Bachchan “most spoilt and privileged,” adding, “People put up with her tantrums / non sense just because she is @amitabhbachchan ji's wife.”

Shortly after, Priyanka Chaturvedi targeted Kangana in a separate video, criticizing a security aide for allegedly shoving senior MP NK Premachandran. Priyanka tweeted, “The CISF’s behaviour on duty for an MP towards another senior MP, Shri NK Premchandran by pushing him aside is shameful and unacceptable. What is this sheer nonsense?”

However, social media users quickly questioned Priyanka’s double standards. One netizen commented, “I hope you compare both the behaviour and the way of pushing, and the way you are standing up for a politician. Let’s see if you have the guts to speak for the common man too.” Another remarked, “You can’t speak against Jaya Bachchan for some obvious reasons, common man’s value is ZERO for people like you.”

Adding to the confusion, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) clarified that the man in the video is not a CISF personnel, tweeting: “Respected Ma’am, The personnel as seen in this video do not belong to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Warm Regards, Team CISF.”

Priyanka responded, noting that the person is a Delhi Police PSO assigned to a Y+ category security protectee, but insisted the incident remains disgraceful as it falls under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
