Early Life and Education
Ravi Kishan, born Ravindra Shyamnarayan Shukla on July 17, 1969, in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, is the youngest of five siblings. He spent part of his childhood in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his education up to the 12th grade at Rizvi College, Bandra West, Mumbai.
Political Career
Ravi Kishan began his political journey with the Indian National Congress (INC) in 2014, contesting from the Jaunpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. However, he did not win the seat. In 2017, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Gorakhpur constituency, a seat previously held by Yogi Adityanath. He won the election and has been serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gorakhpur since then.
