'Operation Sindoor Is Not Over Yet': Rajnath Singh Warns Pakistan, Says India Ready For Any Action Against Terrorism

In a stern warning to Pakistan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday declared that "Operation Sindoor is not over yet", asserting that India is prepared to take any action necessary to eliminate terrorism and ensure national security. Speaking to soldiers of the Northern Command after participating in International Yoga Day celebrations, Singh said India’s military response to terror attacks will only intensify if provoked again.

The Defence Minister said that Operation Sindoor, carried out on the night of May 6–7 in response to the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, had sent a decisive message to Pakistan. The strikes targeted terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, following the brutal killing of 26 civilians, mostly tourists. “Through this operation, we have told Pakistan that its policy of inflicting a thousand cuts on India will not work. The response from India will go from bad to worse,” Singh warned, flanked by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.

Drawing parallels with the 2016 surgical strike and the 2019 Balakot air strike, Singh said the latest operation represents a continuation of India’s clear stance against cross-border terrorism. “Operation Sindoor was a natural progression. It proves that India will no longer tolerate terror on its soil, and any such act will have disastrous consequences for the perpetrators,” he added.

While addressing the troops, Singh also reflected on the broader meaning of International Yoga Day, saying that yoga is not merely a physical activity but a philosophy that binds Indian society to its cultural roots. “Yoga means uniting every section of society with the soul of India. This is Yoga,” he said.

Singh praised the Indian armed forces for incorporating yoga into their routine and highlighted how it contributes to the mental and physical resilience of soldiers. “The focus, discipline, and holistic strength that yoga provides are clearly visible in the performance of our troops. It helps prepare our forces not just for battle but also for life,” he noted.

He emphasised that while yoga brings internal peace, India will never hesitate to act decisively in matters of external threats. “India’s hands are folded in peace through yoga, but they are also ready for battle when provoked,” Singh declared.
