AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the central government of treating Telangana unfairly, despite the state having eight BJP MPs, including Union ministers. Speaking on Saturday, Owaisi claimed that Telangana was being overlooked in terms of project approvals and resource allocation compared to other states.
“I feel that the government of India is not treating the people of Telangana fairly and justly. Despite having eight MPs from BJP, some of them being Union ministers, justice is not being done to Telangana in terms of sanctioning projects,” Owaisi said.

He emphasized that his demand was based on parity, urging the Centre to ensure Telangana receives the same treatment as other states. “Our only demand is that on the basis of parity, what is being given to other states should be sanctioned to Telangana,” he added.
Highlighting an alleged disparity in the allocation of IPS officers, Owaisi pointed out that Telangana has fewer officers than states with smaller populations like Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Punjab, and Jharkhand. “A proposal was made by the state of Telangana to increase the existing strength, but it has not been approved,” he stated.
