Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the victims of the devastating Red Fort blast at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital, soon after returning from his two-day state visit to Bhutan.

Upon reaching the hospital, the Prime Minister met those injured in the explosion, interacted with them, and wished them a swift recovery. Doctors and officials briefed him on the medical treatment and current condition of the patients.

Later in the evening, PM Modi is scheduled to chair a high-level security review at 5:30 pm, which will include meetings of both the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) and the Union Cabinet. The discussions are expected to focus on the progress of the investigation, the broader security implications, and preventive measures against similar threats.

Visuals from inside the LNJP Hospital showed the Prime Minister speaking with patients and their families, reaffirming the government’s commitment to support all those affected.

While addressing an event in Thimphu on Tuesday, PM Modi had vowed that those responsible for the blast “will not be spared” and assured that the culprits would be brought to justice.

So far, seven people have been arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast case. Among them are three doctors from Faridabad’s Al-Falah University, who were detained earlier this week. Officials said forensic tests and interrogations are underway to uncover the full extent of the terror network and its possible links to the massive explosives haul seized earlier in the day.
